Problemi con JSON CharSet UTF-8 per Android

Question

Attualmente sto lavorando ad un'applicazione Android, che ottiene i suoi dati da un'API che fornisce dati JSON. Sto memorizzando gli elementi per i dati JSON come stringhe, cosa che risulta in alcuni caratteri dispari (ad es. "Â"). Capisco che questo abbia a che fare con il set di caratteri, quindi ho impostato InputStreamReader su "UTF-8" ma non sembra aver risolto il problema.

provare il seguente frammento di codice che mi ha aiutato quando ho avuto un problema simile:

new String(jo.getString("name").getBytes("ISO-8859-1"), "UTF-8");

So che questo è un paio di anni dopo, ma mi è venuta in mente una soluzione più affidabile di questo uno, e non ha bisogno di tutta la roba di codifica più

questo è stato trovato per caso, mentre ero alla ricerca di qualcosa di diverso, ma funziona:

"" + jo.opt("name"); 

quello che mi fa s ottiene il risultato come oggetto grezzo, e mettendolo alla fine di una stringa vuota lo impone in formato stringa - ovviamente, se la voce non era originariamente una stringa può dare risultati oscuri, quindi magari provare ad afferrarla come stringa prima

ho qualcosa di simile a questo:

String s = ""; 
try { 
    s = jo.getString("name"); 
    s = "" + jo.opt("name"); 
} catch (Exception e) { 
    Log.e("JSON error", "error:" + e.toString()); 
} 

questo metterà alla prova esiste la corda, e poi sostituirlo con la versione completamente codificato
