Perché Ruby 1.9.2 esplode con una dipendenza gemma JSON?

Question

Sto riscontrando problemi con la gemma JSON e Ruby 1.9.2. Sto aggiornando su Rails 3.0.3 e ogni volta che provo ad avviare l'ambiente esplode. Questo è da un progetto di test vuoto con solo JSON gem 1.4.6 come dipendenza.

Ho avuto alcuni problemi strani dopo l'aggiornamento a Snow Leopard a causa della differenza a 64 bit, quindi se è stato aggiornato a Snow Leopard si potrebbe essere in esecuzione nella stessa cosa.

Ho installato l'ultimo XCode, quindi ho scaricato l'installazione 1.9.2 utilizzando rvm uninstall 1.9.2 e ho ricostruito tutte le gemme utilizzando gem update --system; gem pristine --all.
