credo, è è possibile risolvere questo problema utilizzando Ruby 1.9.x, ma se si desidera utilizzare 1.8.7 - utilizzare i fogli di stile statici bootstrap, senza less e gemma di twitter-bootstrap. – taro

L'aggiornamento a Ruby 1.9.3 lo risolve.

Assicurarsi di non avere alcuna sintassi LESS non valida. Nel mio caso, ho avuto diversi file con un punto e virgola in più dopo una parentesi graffa chiusura selector { color:white; };

ho notato il Sublime Text 2 MENO evidenziatore di sintassi a volte inserire queste piccole gemme per voi;)
