Non ci sono più limiti, su ogni parte di un indirizzo.
RFC5322 specifica che le righe di posta DEVE essere inferiore a 998 caratteri, il che metterebbe un limite superiore sugli indirizzi un po 'più breve di quello (è necessario includere anche il comando).
Ma RFC5321 specifica:
4.5.3.1.1. Local-part
The maximum total length of a user name or other local-part is 64
octets.
4.5.3.1.2. Domain
The maximum total length of a domain name or number is 255 octets.
4.5.3.1.3. Path
The maximum total length of a reverse-path or forward-path is 256
octets (including the punctuation and element separators).
Quindi, 64 ottetti per nome utente, 254 per < nomeutente @ dominio >.
De facto:
è possibile verificare il rispetto te stesso con plus-sintassi. Mandate una email a yourusername + whateveryouwant @ yourdomain.
